WANGANUI ROWERS AUSTRALIANS DEFEATED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WANGANUI, Sunday The Wanganui regatta was held yerterday in wet weather, but the water conditions were good. The features of the day were the successes of Union crews in the senior fours and eights from Clifton and New South Wales, respectively. In the fours, Union won by half a length and in the eights by a canvas. In a fine finish, R. B. Smith, Auckland, won the single sculls from K. Webb, of New South Wales, by a good margin. Results were as follows: Senior Fours.—Union, 1; Clifton, 2; Aramoho, 3. Half a length, three lengths. Maiden Fours, lOst.—Wanganui, 1; Star, 2; Clifton, 3. Senior Single Sculls.—R. B.
