SYDNEY TO AUCKLAND RETURN OF THE AOTEAROA AUCKLAND, Monday The Tasman Empire Airways’ fly-ing-boat Aotearoa returned to Auckland from Sydney on Saturday afternoon. The journey, which took slightly over eight hours, was accomplished at an average speed of about 170 miles an hour. The Aotearoa made most of the crossing at a height of about 10,000 feet. Conditions were perfect throughout. The only passenger on the flight was Mrs Stevens, wife of LieutenantColonel W. G. Stevens, of divisional headquarters, New Zealand Expeditionary Force.
