MONEY FOR WOOL
DISTRIBUTION OF £361,000 RESULT OF THIRD APPRAISAL AUCKLAND, Monday Woolgrowers throughout the Auckland Province share in the distribution of over £361,000 to-day, which is the prompt date for the third appraisal in Auckland of wool under the British Government’s wartime purchase. The total distribution in Auckland this season to date is approximately £1,063,000. This is slightly above the figure for the whole of the 1938-39 season, when £1,061,743 was distributed.
With two appraisals still to be held, it is clear that the total cheque will be a large one, which will bear comparison with the record realisation of £1,528,545 in 1936-37.
