ROTORUA BOWLING MATAMATA RINK BEATEN HAMILTON IN SEMI-FINAL (Special to Times) ROTORUA, Friday The final of the Rotorua ISowling Club’s annual tournament was decided to-day between the Onehunga team skipped by J. Mingins and the Matamata rink led by P. Stewart. Mingins won on the 21st head, 17 —16. The greens were heavy after the downpour last night. Fortunately the weather remained fine, allowing the tournament to be concluded in good time. Close Semi-final Stewart scored a decisive win over West End (Xeedham) In the morning, although up to the 18th head the match was very even. The final score was 20—16. Another popular victory was that of Mingins’ four over the other onehunga team skipped Py Robertson, the score being 24—16 after Mingins bad been down 2—12 on the fifth betid. Determined play by the Hamilton four under Pllkington brought them a victory over the strong Auckland team skipped by Parker, the score being 2 1 —l6. while Roberts, of Carlton, skipped his team to a comfortable win over M.
