WEEKLY RETURN STATE DEPOSITS INCREASE (By Telegraph. —Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday The Reserve Bank return or the week ended Monday, February 5, was gazetted to-night. The statement is balanced at £40,420,680, or £370,334 more than at the close of the previous week. The sterling exchange reserve at £9.242,501 is £516,781 higher in value than on the preceding Monday. Notes and other demand liabilities are £346,000 higher in the aggregate, the principal movement being a rise of £930,800 in the level of Government deposits. The ratio is 31.588 per cent, compared with 30.508 per cent. Advances to the Primary Products Marketing Department are higher by £56,997. Other advances have fallen by £IOO.OOO.
