MATAMATA SALE

Dalgety and Company Ltd, report on their usual rortnightlv sale at Matamata on Wednesday, as follows: There was a pood yarding- or both sheep and cattle. With the exception of one specially advertised line or 4-tooth ewes, the sheep yarding- consisted mostly of store lambs. These sold under the hammer arter very keen competition. The 4tooth ewes on account or Mr 8. R. DuxHeld sold in pens at 26s 3d and -'os Gd. Cattle.—Fat Jersey cows, £5 ?s Gd to £G 2s Gd; lat Jersey heifers, £4 17s Gd to £5 13s Gd; Polled Angus cows (unflnished) £3 3s to £3 10s; heavy boners, £3 17s G(1 to £ i 8S; medium, £3 2s Gd to £3 12s Gd; light, 30s to £2; 2-year licreferd steers, £3 12s Gd; potter bulls (heavy), £8 to £lO ss; lighter, £4 to £G. Sheep.—Fat lambs, 23s to 23s 6d; small ewe lambs, lis 10d; shorn wether lambs (good;, 12s Gd to l is ltd; smaller 8s Gd to 10s . 9d; aged ewes (good mouths) 15s to 17s 9d; rattening ewes, Pigs.—There was a good yarding or fat P*gs which sold under keen competition before a big bench or buyers. Late rates were maintained throughout. There was a medium yarding or store pigs which were duller or sale than usual.
