THREE MONTHS’ GAOL
INTOXICATED DRIVER (Special to Times) TOKAANU, Thursday A sentence of three months’ imprisonment with hard labour was imposed on Henry Rameka, a Maori lorry driver, of Taupo, when he pleaded guilty in the Tokaanu Police Court to a charge of being intoxicated in charge of a motor-lorry. Messrs W. H. Swanger and J. Durward were on the Bench. It was stated in evidence that accused drove his lorry in an erratic manner along the main road near Tokaanu, finishing up in a swamp at the roadside.
