WAIKATO ASSOCIATION MEETING OF EXECUTIVE At the monthly meeting of the executive of the Waikato Returned Soldiers’ Association, held last night, members were unable to make any nomination in response to a request from headquarters as to know whether any prominent member of the branch was likely to be in London in September, and would he prepared to represent New Zealand at the ninth Bienni.il Conference of the British Empire Service League. The Dominion executive committed wrote stating that in view of the general attitude of the British Empire Service League in the direction of creating a friendly relationship with exservice men of ex-enemy countries, no objection should be raised to extending an invitation to those ex-service men to join parades on Anzac Day. A circular from headquarters drew attention to special facilities offered to branches for nominating members for the British Empire Club in London, such members to have the right to propose honorary members for any member of the association who might he in London.
