FARMER FOUND DEAD
SHOTGUN BESIDE BODY (By Telegraph.—Press Association) DARGAYILLE, Monday Mr John Charles Murt, single, of Rehia, aged 56 years, whose farm is about five miles from Tokatoka, was found dead in his bed in his hut late on Saturday evening by his neighbour, Mr R. T. Mackenzie, a farmer, who called at the hut at about 5.30 p.m. and saw him through a window lying on the bed. He copimunicated with the police and neighbours. The police entered the hut, and the dead man was found lying in bed with a dischargad shotgun alongside his body. At an inquest the district coroner, Mr J. A. McLean, found that death was due to a gunshot wound in the head.
