RABBITSKIN SALE

Dalgetv and Company report as follows on their sale of rabbitskins held at Dunedin last Wednesday. Quantities forward were slightly better than last sale, approximately 53 tons being submitted to exporters, furriers and the local trade. The quality showed signs of “going off," and only a small percentage of prime and first quality skins was on offer. Since our last report, the U.S.A. and London markets have weakened, and buyers’ limits were reduced accordingly. Competition was somewhat restricted for all grades, \alues being lower for bucks from Gd lo 9d. and does Id to 3d. Hatters’ and Inferior sorts receded Id to 2d. We also offered some nice parcels of factory skins, and these made full market rates on the day.
