INJURED STOKER
BLOOD TRANBFUSION MADE (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Friday i After iII.M.S. Achilles berthed j Stoker Dcvelin, who received a > crushed leg in the engine roo mon Wednesday, was removed to Hie hospital. During Wednesday night he became weak from Joss of blood, and it is understood one of his messmates | volunteered to give a blood transfusion, following which his condition improved. It is not known yet how serious is the injury, but an X-ray examination is being made.
