BAND FESTIVAL
SALVATION ARMY SERVICES SUCCESS OF ANNUAL FIXTURE The Hamilton Salvation Army hand held its annual Band Sunday and Festival during the week-end. In spite of the inclement weather large crowds gathered at the Citadel for the three services on Sunday. Major H. C. Coffin, territorial secretary for hands, was in charge of the arrangements. The hand led by Mr 11. Sansom rendered hymns and selections at the services. Last evening the Citadel was filled to capacity for the festival at which the following gave items: The band: Lorna Bridges (elocution) : Messrs A. G. Taylor (cornet solo . G. Ayo and Mrs Reay (songs) : Mr Bayliss (piano selection). Before tlie final item Mr Sansom thanked the bandsmen and visiting artists for their assistance in making the festival an outstanding success. Major Coffin referred to the considerable improvement the band had shown during the last six months and said that it ranked with the Dost in the Dominion. It deserved the wholehearted support of the Hamilton public.
