A former Otorohanga High School boy, Mr Basil Clausen, now with the J Pukekohe firm of Wilkinson and Campbell, has passed the examination for a pilot-officer in the Royal Air Force, England, and proposes to leave for the Homeland at an early date.

Mr George Isaac, a well-known business man of Otorohanga, has left for Palestine, where he proposes to look up relatives and friends. He expects to return before Christmas. He will travel by the Suez route, and will visit his birthplace, Biskinta, near Beyruth.
