FRANKTON BOWLING CLUB ANNUAL MEETING HELD One of the most successful seasons fn the history of the Frankton Bowlins: Club was reviewed in the club’s pavilion last evening when the annual meeting was held. Hawkins. P. Bond. 11. Judge and H. Alker gaining thp decision after a playoff with a Claudelands rink.' In addition. Messrs P. Bond. B. Hawkins, P. Exelby and H. Alker won the champion of champions title, and the club's representatives also won the Morrinsville and Taupiri clubs’ Boxing Day tournaments and the final tournament on the Frankton green. Challenge Pairs Shield Mr J. D. Gann's rink, which also Included Messrs C. Exelby. A. Rockell and A. Bridges, was the runner-up in the South Auckland centre’s New Tear tournament. The club was also the holder of the Waikato Challenge Pairs Shield until next o»*ason. Messrs Judge and Exelby having successfully defended the last challenge "The membership has increased to over 40 members," continued Mr Cooney. Samson and 11. B. Kerr; selection committee, Messrs P. Bond and H. Judge; delegates to South Auckland Centre, Messrs J. Cooney and P. Bond; delegates to Waikato Committee, Messrs Cooney and A. Wheeler; club coach, Mr H. Judge; committee, Messrs H. Judge. T. Luxton, J. Ross, R. McLean, P. Hansen, snr., and A. Bridges. Matters affecting the formation of the women's club were discussed, the president stating that the work was well in hand. Already 24 prospective members had come forward and indications were that a strong club would be formed. It was proposed that the new club could use the green on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons and on Wednesday evenings. It was decided to invite Mr N. HAMILTON EABT CLUB ANNUAL MEETING HELD A very successful year was reviewed at the annual meeting of the Hamilton East Bowling Club held last evening. The accounts revealed that the club was in a most satisfactory financial position the excess of income over expenditure on the year’s workings being almost £65. The balance sheet showed that there was £lOl 7s 2d in the trading bank and over £62 in the savings bank. Mr W\ Wilson presided over an attendance of about 50 members. In his report. Mr Wilson referred to the growing membership of the club and stated if it continued to increase at the present rate consideration would have to be given to enlarging the pavilion. During the year a number of trophies were presented and the thanks of the club were due to the donors, said Mr Wilson. The following officers were elected: Patron. Mr L. D. Nathan; chairman. Mr J.
