CHARTER OF VESSELS SERVICES TO AUSTRALIA (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) WASHINGTON, April 2i The Maritime Commission received three tenders for the charter, or purchase, of the Government-owned American Pioneer Line. The United States Lines offered to charter 12 cargo vessels at 27.347 dollars a month, the proposal being to continue the services to the Orient, India and Australia. The American Export Lines offered tc buy, or charter, the Indian service alone "at 304,000 dollars, for the purchase of four vessels, or 0543 dollars a month if chartered. The Australasia Steamship Company offered to purchase the goodwill and going concern value of the Australian service for 125.000 dollars if granted an operating differential subsidy, or 85,000 dollars without a subsidy. It did not tender for the ships. The first two tenders were contingent on the receipt of an operating differential subsidy for two years.
