RACES ON LAKE MORRIS CUP CONTESTS The races for the Morris Cup have been resumed and after a good start Ida was flrst over the line followed by Endeavour, Quest, Kim, Waiana and Edola. The Ida rounded the Killarney Road mark at 2.55 p.m. with Kim, Endeavour, Quest. Waiana and Edola in that order close behind. To the Golf Links buoy the order did not change, but on the leg back to Killarney Road the others pulled away from Waiana and Edola, and then with spinakers set ran to Gower’s buoy and Ida rounded the mark at 3 14.31 p.m., Endeavour 3 16.fi p.m., Quest 3 16.48 p.m. with the other boats closely following. The order did not change on the second round, but the first four boats were all within two minutes in rounding Gower's buoy, and proved a great race as the breeze was freshening. On the beat tn Killarney Road from the Golf Links buoy the Quest passed Endeavour, and then with spinakers again set for the run to the finishing line, the front boats presented a pretty sight, and Ida crossed the line at 4 17.55 p.m., Quest 4 19.20 p.m., Endeavour 4 19.50 p.m., Kim 4 20.1 p.m., Edola 4 29.15 p.m., Waiana 4 31.2 p.m. On corrected times Endeavour was flrst, Kim second, and Edola third. The skipper of the Endeavour sailed a great race and, especially in the breeze, showed she was a muchimproved boat.
