ALL BLACKS FOR AFRICA REMIT ON RULEB INTER-ISLAND MATCH VENUE The executive of the New Zealand Rugby Union has decided to forward to the Empire Rugby Conference in London in 1940 a remit suggesting that the 2-3-2 scrum formation should be made universal, with the scrummage laws remaining as at present. The executive also decided that the All Blacks should leave Wellington for a tour of South Africa next year about the middle of May. Letters were received from Canterbury, South Canterbury, and Auckland Unions complaining that the venue of the North versus South Island match had been too frequently in Wellington, and suggesting it should be played more often in other centres. The letters were referred to the Council of the New Zealand Rugby Union. The secretary of the English Rugby Union notified that a tour of New Zealand by English Universities Rugby teams could not take place during the Centennial year. TEAM FOR TO-MORROW The following team will represent Technical Colts against High School at Rugby Park at 10.30 a.m., tomorrow : Doyle, McNamara, Fraser, Nisbet, Wilson, Barv, Houghton, Bettley, Cameron, Ladd. Paterson, Snell, Morgan (2), Tanner, Fitzgerald, Butt. TECHNICAL OLD BOYS’ CLUB TEAM FOR TE AWAMUTU The following senior players have been selected to play in a match against Te Awamutu at, Rugby Park at 3 p.m. to-morrow: Saxton, Goosman. Flannagan, O’Rourke, Smith, Steele, Tietzlaf, Haughey, Fraser, O’Meara, Barber, Anderson, Jordan, Hill, Kemp, Bolton, Stanage. All juniors and Intending juniors are requested to be present for a game against the Te Awamutu juniors at 1.30 p.m. to-morrow at Rugby Park.
