NEW DOMINION AWARD FIVE-DAY WEEK PROVIDED (By TelearanD— Press Association! CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday A 40-hour five day week and a minimum wage of 2s 62d for males are provided for in the new Dominion footwear manufacturing industry’s award which was agreed to by the Conciliation Council this morning. The minimum rate for females of over five years’ experience is £2 17s 6d weekly. The wages arc retrospective to April 3 and the award will continue for a year.
