Mr Stanley McKay, theatrical manager, is visiting Hamilton.

Mr H. H. Haszard, of Patetonga, was a recent caller at New Zealand House, London.

Mr John Farrell, theatrical manager, sailed from Wellington by the Awatea yesterday on a visit to Sydney.

Mr Alex McDonald ha 6 been appointed Wellington Rugby selector in succession to Mr Mark Nicholls.

Mr Douglas Stark, of Auckland, has been appointed resident local organiser of the Northern Building Society for Napier and Hastings.

Mr Justice Reed, of Wellington, will arrive in Hamilton on April 29 to preside at the quarterly session of the Supreme Court which will open on May 2.

Messrs W. H. McCorkindale, J. M. Hyams, G. C. Jones, W. Anderson

(Auckland), G. S. Mead (Rotorua) and G. D. McAllum (New Plymouth) are at the Hamilton Hotel.

Viscount Runciman, who has been spending a holiday in New Zealand, left Auckland by the Aorangi yesterday for Vancouver, on his way back to England.

Mr J. N. Greenland, general manager of the Union Steam Ship Company, Limited, left Auckland by the Aorangi yesterday f#r Vancouver, on a visit to Canada and the United States.

Mr A. S. Adam, who was secretary of the Hauraki Labour Representation Committee during the general election period, was farewelled by Morrinsville friends on Monday prior to his departure to reside in Auckland. A presentation was made of a salad dish and servers and a roll of banknotes to Mr and Mrs Adam, who have been popular residents of Morrinsville for the past six years.
