NATIONAL PARTY CAMPAIGN

(To the Editor) Sir,—After Mr Adam Hamilton’s campaign through the North Island he says the popular feeling is changing towards his party, lie also says that he is going to continue his campaign for fair play in Government. I wonder what he means. Is it to go back to the old-time starvation relief camps, etc. ? .Mr Hamilton says that if he went to the country to-morrow his party would go back to power. He reminds me of the young couple who went to the zoo to see the monkeys. When they got there the monkeys would not come out, so they asked the caretaker why the monkeys would not come out. lie said to them: “It is mating season.” The lady said: "If I give them a bun will they come out?” The caretaker said: "Would you?” It is just the same with the people of New Zealand, they put Mr Savage’s party in power and put the Tories out. It would take more than a bun to'put this Labour Government out.—l am, etc., J. MOODY. Hamilton, April 17.
