lower frankton values LARGE ENTRY ON OFFER A slacker demand was shown for all classes of beef at the Frankton stock sale to-day and a fairly steep drop in quotations was recorded. A light penning of steers consisted mainly of light-weight sorts, for which a slower demand resulted in a decrease in values of approximately 15s per head. The large yarding of cows and heifers was als.o in slow request and here prices were from 10s to 20s per head lower. Calves and boner cattle were more difficult to trade. A substantially larger entry 0 f fat sheep met with a quieter demand and values were generally lower than last week. In the fat pig section wellfinished sorts sold at firmer rates but pens lacking finish were again tedious of sale. Quotations: Medium prime steers. £lO 5s to £ll 15s: light. £7 to £s ss; small. £6 to £6 17s 6d; prime cows and heifers, £6 10s to £7 15s; fat. £6 to £7; light. £i to £5 15s; killable. £3 to £3 17s 6d. Prime wethers, 17s to 19s. Pigs: Baconers, 59s to 745; porkers, 28s to 58s.
