CONFERENCE OPENED
WOMEN'S INSTITUTES THE WAIKATO FEDERATION There was a large attendance of delegates when the annual conference of the Waikato Federation of Women’s Institutes was opened in the Waikato Winter Show Hall to-day. Mrs J. Ward Chapman presided and after the opening with the National Ant-hem and the Federation Chorus she welcomed the Mayor, Mr H. D. Caro. Mrs Clements, provincial president of the Women’s Division, and new delegates. The Mayor paid a tribute to the fine work of the organisation and prior to the adjournment for luncheon the annual report was read.
