CASE DISMISSED

DRIVING NOT DANGEROUS CAR SALESMAN EXONERATED Considering that the defendant was not driving dangerously, Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., dismissed a charge of dangerous driving brought by Traffic Inspector G. G. Winter, of the Waikato County Council, in the Magistrate’s Court, Hamilton, to-day, against K. Harwood, motor salesman, of Hamilton (Mr F. D. Robertshaw). The traffic inspector said Harwood attempted to overtake another ear on Ihe bend near the Hillcrest School. He was on the wrong side of the road, but pulled back into the line when he saw traffic approaching. Defendant, who pleaded not guilty, said he did not pull out until he was round the corner and then he did not draw up on the car in front of him. Ilis reason for drawing out was to see if the road was clear to pass on the straight. Mr Paterson said the driver was well round the corner when he drew out and he could well ahead. He was nut therefore driving dangerously.
