AMBULANCE TESTS NURSES WIN TANIWHA SHIELD A high standard of efficiency was displayed by competitors in the St. John Ambulance tests in connection with the Hamilton regatta, which, owing to the inclement weather, were held in the St. Peter's Hall yesterday, instead of at Ferry Bank. Representatives of the Onehunga. Cambridge Rotorua. Thames and Frankton Divisions were in competition. while the competing nurses represented the Onehunga. Ofahuhu Railway, Cambridge. Rotorua. Thames and Franklon Railway Divisions. In the cadet competitions entries were received from the Kowhai, Paeroa, , Frankton and Onehunga Divisions. The competitions were organised by District Superintendent 11. D. Cobb, District Officer E. A. Houston and Corps Superintendent C. Marshall. The chief contest was that for the Taniwha Shield, a competition open for teams from either ambulance or nursing divisions. The nurses prevailed. Onehunga annexing the trophy.
