WEATHER IN ENGLAND
AN IMPROVEMENT REPORTED RELIEF TO ISOLATED VILLAGES (Official Wireless) (Received Der. 29. 11 a.m.) RUGBY. Dec. 28 In certain parts of eastern and south-eastern England road traffic is still hampered by snow and ice, but all the main roads are practically clear. The thaw has brought relief to many isolated villages, but in parts of Lincolnshire snow-drifts are still being cleared on roads which have been blocked since before Christmas. Several abandoned cars have been dug out.
