Mr J. Hall-Green, of Invercargill, is visiting Hamilton. Mr A. B. Matthews, of Hamilton, Is visiting the Whakatane district. Mr P. O'Grady, of Christchurch, is visiting Hamilton. Mr A. G. Downs, of Hamilton, has left on a visit to Whangarei. \ Mr A. Lewis, of Hamilton, is visiting Auckland. Mr E. H. Hammond, of Hamilton, is visiting Takapuna. Mr C. H. Marcroft, proprietor of the Raglan County Press, Is visiting New Plymouth. Mr R. E. Champtaloup, touring manager of the Automobile Association (Auckland), will leave on January 17 for an overseas tour that will occupy about eight months. Dr. Leslie Lipson, who has been appointed to the new chair of Public Administration and Political Science at Victoria University College, Wellington, will arrive at Auckland by the Aorangi early in February, Advice has been received by Mr Norman Heath. Latvian Consul at Auckland, that the President and Government of Latvia have conferred upon him the Latvian Order of the Three Stars (officer class). Dr D. W. McElwain, Ph.D., of the Census and Statistics Department, Wellington, lias accepted a lectureship in psychology at Perth University, Western Australia, ami will leave to take up his new duties in about two months. Mr L. 13. Bestall, director of the Hawke's Bay Museum, will leave New Zealand in Starch for a tour through the United States, Canada and Europe.
