DROWNING AVERTED
FAMILY IN DimOULTODi DUNEDIN, Wednesday A narrow escape from drowning serious injury' was experienced by three bathers at Brighton Beach yesterday afternoon, when they got Jnta difficulties near a small island nut lac from the shore* The father first became dbtr—l so the daughters went to his assistance and also became Involved. Tb«a lather, who was carried on by th* tide, gained a footing on some rock* and rescued one daughter, the other being brought ashore by some young men. Except for shock and minor bruises and abrasions, the thro*, bathers were little tbe worse lor their experience.
