Thursday The men’s doubles title of the Rotorua Lawn Tennis Club's annual open Christmas tournament was woi yesterday by the Waikato pair, B. DoH and M. Andrews, who defeated Brough (Hamilton) and Henderson In a fourset game. The winning pair gave a good display ef tennis throughout the tournament and played very strongly in the final to win the first two set* in convincing style. Waikato players, B. Dold and L. Dold won from Dennis by default; Roach beat Rich* arda G—l, c— i. Men’s Championship Doubles.-Quarter-finals: Brough and Henderson beat Hoskin and Roundtree 6—4, 6—3. Semi-finals: Dold and Andrew* beat Burton and McDougall 6—4, 4—6. 6—3; Brough and Henderson beat Dennis and Smaller, 6—4, I—6, 6—4. Final: Dold and Andrews beat Brough and Henderson, 6—2. o—l, 4 —6, 6—5. Combined Championship Doubles.-Quarter-finals: L. Roach and Miaa Buckley lost to Smaller and Miss Nagla 6—3, 5—6, B—6.
