Copyright) (Received Dec. 13, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 12 The Chinese Embassy asserts that the Chinese again recaptured Waichow, and are driving the Japanese towards Poklo. The Japanese are not progressing at Kvvangtung. The Chinese recaptured Wutlungling, in Central China, and repulsed large forces which were attempting to cross the Fen River to Linigi'en. Despite these successes the Japanese assert that the Chinese guerilla campaign is deteriorating. DESTRUCTION OF BOMBERS STORY NOT CONFIRMED JAPAN AND WESTERN POWERS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Dec. 14, 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 13 No confirmation has been received by the British, French, American, Chinese and Japanese Governments of the American report that-French and American warships shot down three Japanese bombers in the vicinity of Hankow. An officer of the American gunboat Luzon, on arrival at Shanghai, informed Reuters that they did not encounter military or navigational hazards.
