Now Ragwort Fly Interest attaches to the appearance iii the Whakamarama district of a Ay that gives promise of waging an effective war upon ragwort. Mr F. W. lioidge. M.P., recently wrote to the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin, drawing attention to the matter. Word has now been received from the • awthrun Institute identifying the insect as the pbytomyza atricurnis, or ragwort leaf miner.
