Mr L. J. Hill, of Frankton, was a recent caller at New Zealand House in London. Mr W. J. Broadfoot, M.P. for Waitomo, will leave Te Kuiti for Wellington to-night. Mr R. C. Addison, inspector for New Zealand of the Bank of NewSouth Wales, arrived at Wellington by the Awatea from Sydney on Monday. Mr G. H. Dawson, assistant manager of the South African Railways, arrived at Wellington from Sydney by the Awatea on Monday. He is on a world tour and intends to spend two weeks in New Zealand. Mr D. M. Rae, principal of the Auckland Training College, visited Hamilton to-day for the break-up ceremony of the Hamilton Technical College, at which he presented the prizes. Messrs E. A. Brown, A. Harris, F. C. Sutherland. E. H von Sturmer (Auckland), J. W. Hewlett, A. Perry (Christchurch), C. Watson. M. Latham (Palmerston North), A. Gibb (ißotorua), G. Morris (Taumarunui), are at the Hamilton Hotel. Archdeacon Mac Murray has been appointed archdeacon emeritus of the Auckland Anglican Diocese from the beginning of the new year. For a time Archdeacon Mac Murray will also continue to act as vicar-general. Archdeacon Hawkins, formerly Archdeacon of Wairnate, has been appointed Archdeacon of Auckland^ Three employers and two workers’ nominations have been received so far for the employers and workers' representatives to attend the 1939 session of the International Labour Office conference in Geneva. The employers’ nominees, from whom one is to be selected, are:—Mr W. 11. Price, retiring manager of the Union Steamship Company of New Zealand, Wellington: Mr W. J. Mountjoy, secretarv oi the Wellington Employers’ Association; Mr V. Duff, accountant. New Plymouth, and until recently the employers’ representative on the Second Court of Arbitration. The workers' nominations are :—Mr J. Roberts, secretary of the Canterbury Tailor> and Tailoresses' Union, and president of the Christchurch Trades Council, and Mr P. M. Butler, secretary of the New Zealand General Labourer*’ Union and a member of the national executive of the Labour Party,
