HAMILTON CROQUET CLUB PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES The Hamilton Croquet Club closed the playing season recently in fine weather. Progressive, crazy and ladder croquet were played. The tables were artistically decorated with autumn blooms. Afternoon tea was served, and the president, Mr If. H. Howden, presented the prizes to the winners of the club events as follows: —A championship, Mrs Brockelsby, Prentis Cup and trophy; run-ner-up, Mrs Aitken ; A handicap singles, Mrs Aitken; A doubles, Mesdames Carbon and Lorimer; runners-up, Mesdames G. Henderson and Savage; A and B doubles, Mesdames Thomsen and Earl; runners-up, Mesdames Webster and M. Green; B championship, Miss M. Storey, York vase and trophy; runner-up, Mrs Windsor; B handicap, Mrs Windsor; runner-up, Mrs Earl; H and C doubles. Miss Storey and Mrs Karl; A button. Mrs Webster; B button. Mrs Windsor; Howden trophy, Mrs Earl. Mesdames G- Seifert and A. E. Sav- | age were presented with Doulton cake 1 pla.tes from the members in apprccia- ; lion of their work ns treasurer and I secretary respectively, and the vicc- ! presidents, Mesdames L. Totman and !i\ Thomsen, received bouquets. Mrs Savage was also ptesented with an i umbrella from the players in the rei cent tournament, Mrs Totman rej ceivlng a box of handkerchiefs. The I president, in making the presentaj tions, congratulated them on the success of the tournament. The following were the prize-win-ners for the afternoon's games: Mesdames G. E. Wilkes, D* Marshall, A. Proudlock, J. Old, W. 'O. Carbon, M. Green and Miss Storey. Those present were : —Mesdames H. H. Howden, P. Thomsen, T. Totman, G. Seifert, J- Old, A. E. Savage, D.
