STRIKING SUCCESS
BEBE WITTS-BURT’S DANCING NEW ZEALANDERS IN LONDON LONDON, March 12. The young New Zealand ballerina, Bebe WitVsHurt, known in England as Robe de lbdand, scored another strikn g success &*. an ‘evening ballet” arranged Luis week by her teacher, Madame Lydia Kyasht, in ai l of the St. Margaret's House Selllomein. Bethnal Green, writes the Port's representative. She was premiere danseuso in the ballet. "Bliii Birl.” with music from Tchailsowsky. in which she danced a pas de deux with the well-known Dancer, John Thorpe, and also had several other important Voles. Later in the programme she des.ce J a pas do ueux from ‘Aurora’s Wedding.*' with S’amey Judson, a f-.ruv.* partner ol P-y.lova. Each of her appearances was hailed by the audience as outstanding, and her dancing was decidedly the feature of the evening. Another New Zealander who showed marked talent was Diana PowerPalmer (Wellington), whose stage name is Diana Power. She danced several solos, including "Romance,” with music by Rubinstein, with an ability that earned well-merited applause. In addition to studying under Madame Kyasht, she has been training some of the younger pupils.
