LATEST RETURNS (By Telegrapn.— Press Assoc*ation) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The Reserve Bank return for the week ended Monday, February 7, was gazetted to-night. The statement is balanced at £29,292,120 or £674,964 less than at the close of the previous week.
Government deposits have risen by £357,154, compared with the week before, while those of the trading banks are £319,058 lower. The note issue, continuing the steady fall since Christmas, is £172,071 lower. Other demand liabilities have decreased by £536,868. The sterling exchange reserve has fallen £529,952 in value during the week. Advances to the Dairy Industry Account are £163,664 lower. The investment item has risen by £26,351.
