WHIST DRIVE The usual whist drive was held in the Miners' Hall in aid of school funds. The winners were Mrs Peden. Mr A. Robinson and Mr D- Robinson, who were equal. CHURCH FUNDS BENEFIT A pleasant evening "as held at Mr and Mrs 1 Dunn s residenee recently in sid of the Pukemiro Catholic Church funds The winners at the card tables were Mrs Chappell, stir . and Mr W. Dunn, the consolation prizes being won b" Mrs P. Seddoa and Mr T. Kerr.
