MONSTER SHARK
CAUGHT AT MAYOR ISLAND MANY FISH DISGORGED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) TAURANGA, Thursday What is probably a record tiger shark weighing 9531 b and 13ft long w-ith a jaw of 18in, was caught at Mayor Island by Mr R. 11. Jones, of Rotorua, from the launch Kingfish. The monster fought an hour and ten minutes. After being brought ashore it disgorged a broadbill swordfish complete with sword and also one kingfish, two sharks and a number of mutton birds.
