HAMILTON CLUB RACE FROM TAUMARUXUI The Hamilton Homing Pigeon Club commenced the young bird season on Saturday with a race from Tnumarunui, an airline of 76 miles. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster in dull weather, which developed into rain. A strong north-east wind prevailed and resulted in a hard fly, the birds taking five hours to do the journey. Results: — W. Grace's R.C.C. 156, 533yds, i; Brown Bros.’ M.C. 114, 532yds, 2; G. Manktelow’s B.C.C- 529, 529yds, 3; C. Crabb’s B.C.H. 229, 527yd5," 4. Next week’s race will be flown from Oliakune.
