REASONS FOR INCREASE “ BUILDING UP RESERVE ” MR A. J. Statements issued by the Minister rebutting this have failed to knock it out.” said Mr Murdoch. “By the recent agreement finalised with the Australian producers freight reductions amounting to £500,000 annually were made while butler charges have remained the same. “ No doubt the New Zealand increase was made because the shipping companies realised that difficulties might he encountered here, not regarding tho wages of seamen but because of possible hold-ups at ports, and they made provision to meet such contingencies by adding 2 4 per cent, to build up a reserve.” Tennis balls for use in tournaments at Wimbledon are kept in a refrigerator . so that their “bounce” won’t be affected by the sun.
