NEW TRIAL ORDERED.
ALLEGED THEFT OF CATTLE. STOCK DEALER’S LONG WAIT. (I3y Telegraph.—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, Saturday. After a retirement of over four hours the jury disagreed and the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, ordered a new trial of Leonard Alma Turner, stock dealer, of Pelorus Valley, on a charge of the theft of three head of cattle. Although offered a new trial during the Nelson sessions next week, accused elected to wait four months till the next Blenheim sessions. Bail was allowed in £IOO and one surety of £IOO.
