Rubini recently filed a suit for divorce. He alleged that his wife told him she loathed America and all Americans, and preferred Australians and Englishmen. Miss Crane was formerly prominent in Williamson comic opera productions in Australia and New Zealand, and was one of the loveliest women on the stage. Her husband was an organist and orchestral leader in Australia for some years.

The former tennis champion Mrs Helen AVills-Moody admitted in an interview that she has separated from her husband, but added: “ I never admitted that I was here for a divorce.” It is pointed out that an admission from Mrs Wills-Moody that she had come to Nevada to establish residence in view of a divorce would endanger the validity of a decree in other States. On the other hand, her lawyer announced that the grounds on which a divorce would be sought would be extreme' mental cruelty.
