TE AROHA RETURNED SOLDIERS. The “Ladles' Night” arranged by the Te Aroha Returned Soldiers’ Association on Tuesday evening attracted a large and representative attendance, showing the popularity of the annual gathering. The president. Mr N. G. McLeod, occupied tlie chair, and extended a warm welcome to the assemblage. Following the toast of “Fallen Comrades" and the sounding of “The Last Post,” the programme opened with “The Laughing Song” by Mr A. Clark. During the evening songs were given by Mrs J. L. Otter, Canon C. W. Turner. Messrs Caundle (Waihi), Rosenfeldt (Elslow), J. G. Y'oung QTe Aroha) and Dunstan (Waihi). "Mr F. Thomas staged a very clever roller-skating act. while accordeon and harmonica solos by Mr L. W. Phillips were greatly appreciated. Supper was served, and during the interval local members of the Association fraternised with visitors from other parts of the outlying districts. Before the -conclusion of the evening's concert programme, tlie chairman paid a tribute to the ladies, which was replied Lo by Mrs 11. Carward ino. Following the concert programme a very happy dance was held, music being played by Mrs Crowe (piano), Mr \Y. Crowe (violin). Mr K. Eddy (cornet) and Mr 1.. Phillips (accordeon). Mr A. E.
