YOUNG MEN SENTENCED. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.) BLENHEIM. Thursday. Probation for two >.«ars was granted hv thi chief -Ins! ice. Sir Michael Mv.-rs. this morning to Lewis John William Turkerrnnn ’.'«>) who pleaded guilty to carnal knowlege. Arnold Clinton llodson 2i’ pleaded guilty (.> carnal know-bulge. and was sentenced to nine months’ Imprisonment. the judge stating that, the ease was more serious than Tuekerman’s and stressing that young men must learn that they could not seduce young girls with impunity. . Henry William Smith, hotel emP' plovee, of Picton. was found guilty on charges of assault on Herbert Brogden at Picton on June 6 and Leslie Wilson \\..w f.nind guilty of assaulting Rn.gden so ..s to cause actual bodily harm. The prisoners were remanded till to morrow for sentence.
