AGRICULTURAL CLUBS. ANNUAL MEETINGS HELD. (Special to Times). PUTARURU, Thursday. There was a .good attendance of lelegates from the Putaruru, Hodder- • ille, Tapapa, Okoroire and Lichfield school agricultural clubs when the innual meeting of the Putaruru group vas held at Putaruru. It was that in future classes ’or pedigree bull calves be held in conjunction with the classes for leifer calves, Messrs J. White, L. Deihl md Brigadier Fitness, of the Salvation Mmy, being appointed a committee to ?o Into the matter of procuring suitible calves for the children. On the motion of Mr Deihl, it was iecided to try as an experiment the udging of heifer calves Irrespective )f class and breed, that is, to judge he calves purely from the point of dew of rearing. A resolution was massed recommending to the . clubs that they institute classes for root crops for the boys and flower gardens ’or the girls. Mr E. D. While was re-elected president and Mr G. J. Vallance was •e-elected secretary. CLUBS AT TE AROHA. SATISFACTORY YEAR. (Special to Times) TE AROHA, Thursday. The highly successful year experienced by the Thames Valley Boys md Girl’s Agricultural Clubs Group ■vas detailed at the annual meeting. A -otal of 114 calves had been judged, entries being received from 10 schools. The competition dates were fixed tor July 20 and August 2 5 and the marketing date for September 10. To )ffer the utmost encouragement to children to enter, it was resolved to lermit all breeds of calves to compete md to make no charge for entry. The following otUcers were elected: President, Mr N.
