Boys’ Escapade. —At Hie Magistrate's Court, Christchurch, yesterday, two youths. James Carter 17) and Arnold Charles Averts (181, were charged with the alleged conversion of a 55ft. ketch -rigged cruising launch valued at £3OOO and with unlawfully converting to Iheir own use two dinghies. They pleaded guilty to tiie second count and not guilty to tiie first. The police slated that the two youths took Ihe dinghies to board the yacht upon which they took up their residence for several days. The owner ■if the yacht with a companion hoarded I lie craft when they were confronted by the two accused who took up a threatening attitude, one exclaiming: We are desperate. Stick them up!
