PLEASANT EVENING.
BT. MARY’S SOCIAL CLUB. Another successful and interesting evening was held in the Marist Hall recently by the St. Mary’s Social and Dramatic Club. Dancing and community singing were much enjoyed, and the following programme was warmly appreciated by the large number present:— One-act play reading of a comedy, “The Step-mother,” by Mrs M. Walker, Miss Eileen Jordan and Messrs C. Lord and 1). Held; whistling solos. Mr Frank Kelly; pianoforte solos, Miss Myra Salter; tap dances, Mr T. Barnett. Dance music was played by Mr C. Lord (piano) and Mr C. O’Dea (saxophone), and Mr T. N. Pemberton was M.C. Among those present were:—Mesdames G. Parkhouse, L. F. Casey, T. Grace, S. Walker, J. Gwynne, jnr. (Auckland), W. L.
