NEW MUSICAL COMEDIES.
“SWINGING ALONG ” COMING. GEORGE GEE RETURNING. George Gee will be given an enthusiastic welcome back to Australia when he returns under the J. C. Williamson management to appear in “Swinging Along” and “Over She Goes,” two new musical comedies. “Swing Along” has been running In London for over a year at the Gaiety Theatre, and “Over She Goes” for the same period at the Saville. George Gee achieved success in such musical plays as “The Lilac Domino," “Firefly,” “Little Dutch Girl,” “Naughty Princess,” “Merry Widow',” “The Arcadians,” “Sally,” “Kid Boots,” ‘Good Morning, Dearie,” “Tell Me More” and A Night Out.” Other noted- London artists engaged are Percy Le Fre, who has already appeared in Australia in “Kid Boots,” “Good Morning, Dearie,” and “Leave It to Jane”; and Valerie Hay, who has played in “Waltzes from Vienna” and other musical productions in London. The first production in Australia of “Swing Along” will be given at Melbourne after the brief farewell season of Colonel W. de Basil’s Monte Carlo Rusisan Ballet.
