PROVINCIAL POLITICB. RIFT IN ALBERTA. United Press Aul—flee. Tel. Copyrttftt EDMONTON. April 30. Mr W. N. Chant, Minister of Agriculture, refused Mr W. Aberharts request to resign. The Premier stated that more aggressiveness and efficiency are needed in his department, but Mr Chant, in a letter declared his responsibility to the electorate forbade his resignation, DAWSON. April 30. The territorial council has protected to Ottawa and demands a plebiscite on the annexation of British Columbia which it describes as a “violation of the democratic rights of the citizens. ’’
