London had the largest Labour-Com-munist procession in its history. It extended more than four miles and included 1000 striking busmen, -some of them carrying red flags. In Moscow there was a gigantic military parade of 50.000 troops and 200 tanks, while hundreds of modern fighters and bombers were roaring overhead.

Residents of Berlin witnessed a dis play by troops and hundred* of military aeroplanes.

Paris had vast Labour demonstrations which brought work to a standstill throughout the country. In Warsaw there was a Communist demonstration which was dispersed by the police. A ohild was trampled to death and others were injured. Other celebrations in Europe were peaceful except in Madrid, which the insurgents shelled. SYDNEY, May 2. Three bands numbering 5000 marchers comprised the May Day procession to the Sydney Domain. The marchers carried banners relating to all the subjects in which the Labour movement is concerned.
