The Duke of Windsor, accompanied by Sir Walter Monckton, Inspected two estates, which it is reported he is considering buying, near Enzesfeld Castle. It is stated that Sir Walter Monckton brought a number of documents requiring the Duke's signature concerning the Duchy of Cornwall estates and also the Duke’s interest in other British properties. LONDON, Feb. 21. The Duke of Windsor is not expected to attend the Coronation or visit England this summer. There is a feeling in official political quarters that it would be unwise to run the risk of the demonstrations in his favour, and that, at the best, his presence in Britain would be embarrassing. The news magazine Cavalcade asserts that the King has given instructions to send a formal command to the Duke of Windsor tc attend the next meeting of the Order of the Garter. MRS SIMPSON’S PLANS. Mrs Simpson’s secretary stated on arrival at Rome to-day * that Mrs Simpson would spend the spring and summer in a villa which has been leased at Formia, on the Gulf of Gaeta, between Rome and Naples. She is expected to go to Formia in April. The wedding of Mrs Simpson and the Duke of Windsor, It is reported, is to be postponed until after the Coronation.

According to a message from London, Mr Herman L. Rogers, at whose house at Cannes Mrs Simpson is staying, says she takes no prominent part in the social life of the Riviera. She rises early and spends the morning in the garden. After lunch she motors and walks in the country. She is greatly attached to three Aberdeen terriers, Jock, You-You and Moko, which she takes out for long rambles. The Daily Mail’s Nice correspondent says Mrs Simpson is taking French lessons.
