YOUTH STEALS MOTOR-CAR. ADMITTED TO PROBATION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, Monday. Sentence was imposed in the Supreme Court at Wanganui to-day upon Philip Walter D’Arcy Stewart, aged 19, who pleaded guilty to the theft of a motor-car, valued at £230. and. with menaces, demanding money from another, with intent to steal. He was ordered three years’ probation, the conditions being that he did not attend any public or private dances during that term, that lie paid the cost of bringing the stolen car back from Auckland and also the cost of the prosecution. II was stated by counsel for prisoner. Mr W. A. Izard, that his client was suffering from adolescent instability. His aim had been io get. away from his home surroundings, where he was unhappy.
